3. Do NOT get ANGRY. Puppies and dogs in general are in the business to please. Teach him through patience and praise and you will have the best friend you desire.

4. Don't forget your job. Your job in housebreaking a puppy is to associate things together. Go Potty outside---Lot's of Praise.

House training is important if you want to be able to trust your pup by themselves. Remember though that they're still a baby and probably have just been removed from their brothers and sisters.

If your puppy doesn't behave or learn where to go to the bathroom, it's not his fault. In every case, it's the fault of the owner who isn't consistent in their training or expects to much from the doggie they hope to call their buddy.

House training is not something that can be done in an afternoon. To housebreak a puppy you will need patience and work to connect the action with the positive re-enforcement necessary for your new pup to get the idea about what you expect and want. You'll find a willing learner if you follow the simple rules and simply have fun.
