Here's More than One Free House Training Tip for Dog Training

Here are several free house training tip for dog that may help in your effort to house train your puppy or even adult dog. Below are a few free housetraining dogs tips that will start you on this adventure of interacting and teaching your new best friend how to behave.

While at first, many house training methods may seem more than a little daunting but it's not hard if you have the right tools and methods. Potty Training is probably one of the most important things you can teach your pet if you want them to truly be a companion dog.

**** IMPORTANT DIFFERENCE ****

House training is NOT letting your dog run free in your home and expecting them NOT to go to the bathroom. Housetraining IS having control of your pet to limit accidents indoors while encouraging the right behavior which is relieving themselves only outside. Crate training is the means to communicate your desires to your dog about desired bathroom habits.

Crate Training allows you to maintain control of where your dog is allowed to roam when you're not watching. Contrary to some pet owners, it's neither cruel or unkind to your pet.

Now, here are House Training a Dog Tips that you will find important.

Free house training tip for dog #1
Dogs use voice inflection to gather meaning and interact with humans. All canines have a very limited vocabulary which means that you need to use the same word to mean the same thing all the time. Potty, Going outside, Bathroom, Have to PEE, etc. are all different to a dog even if they mean basically the same to us. All tips on Potty Training a Puppy need to be understood as part of an overall training strategy. It's simply not possible to fully housetrain your puppy with just a few tips. Tip #2 Take the time to learn your canines behavior traits. All dogs, no matter what type have certain things they do before going to the bathroom. Maybe it's sniffing around the house or turning in circles a few times. Most will squat to pee. Getting to your puppy before they actually go, even if it's in mid squat, is the perfect time to re-enforce that the best place to go to the bathroom is outside.

This is done by immediately taking your dog to the door and giving them praise and exciting attention. Next, take them outside and wait for them to do their business. This gives you yet another chance to give them praise for going to the bathroom outside.

The key is to understand that by giving them praise, your dog associates going to the door then going outside to use pee and poop as pleasing you. So from a dogs perspective, we want to encourage this thought...Please you = go outside to relieve themselves = GOOD = Praise

Tip #3 No matter how frustrating your dog may seem, remember they AREN'T out to get you. Dogs simply do not have the reasoning skills to sit and think up ways to "get even" with you. So you should never hit, yell, scold or otherwise discipline your dog in a negative way.

Tip #4 While a dog pen or cage can be used for crate training it isn't a house training method but only a tool. Crate Training is a way to keep control of your pet whenever you aren't able to keep a watchful eye on them. This includes not only during the day but also night time as well.

Of course, lugging a heavy wire cage or bulky hard plastic travel crate into your room each night is not going to be fun. While any one of the free house training tip for dog may help, it's necessary to remember that you still need to keep accidents to a minimum even during the night.

For the best and quickest result, you need to keep your dog close to you and involved in your life as much as possible. Not having to continuously move that cumbersome metal cage or bulky plastic crate throughout your home will make house training a lot easier. Check out how easy these new portable crates can be moved quickly and easily throughout your home.
